UPDATE ON Govt FIX YOUR BIKE SCHEME
I thought I would put down what I have learnt about the scheme at the moment and how I am going to run it.
The scheme is designed to get unused bikes back on the road. It is not intended to upgrade or replace any road worthy parts.
Vouchers cannot be used retrospectively, as info needs to be logged at the point the bike is handed in or collected (please note vouchers don't cover collection fees, these will be billed separately)
Vouchers need to be supported by ID and address verification. Over 18 s only. max 2 vouchers per household.
Voucher codes will be logged at outset, a service of the bike is then undertaken, or repairs completed. Please note that if a service is undertaken and you decide not to complete any works, the service charge £35 will be payable and this is not covered by the voucher, and will be billed separately.
Once works are completed, payment is due and the voucher is processed. Bikes will only be released when government monies are received by me, which may take up to a week. If for some reason the government refuse to pay then payment will be requested form the client.
A £15 minimum labour charge will apply when using vouchers.
Please do not ask me to deviate from the scheme guidelines as refusal to do so often causes offence which is something I want to avoid.
